I commute using the bus and train almost daily and when carrying my water bottle on the side of my messenger bag I noticed it touches quite a lot of nasty things like seats, bins and other people's jackets. This bothered me quite a lot, so I set out to design a solution.
After printing clean it well using water and dish soap. Then just slide it on your bottle. After use clean it together with your mouth piece.
It is not recommended to put it in the dishwasher. While TPU should withstand the temperatures there is no guarantee that the chemicals used for cleaning dishes are safe for it's integrity.
This cap is compatible with the official true fruits drinking adaptor available on their website. It is necessary to print it in TPU as I designed the cap to be a snug fit to prevent loss and also because TPU can withstand a lot of force/impacts. The hole in the top serves the purpose of letting air in/out when opening and closing respectively. You may also use it to add a string through it and tie said string to the bottle neck.
Please keep in mind that every TPU is manufactured slightly differently and thus results may vary.
When importing the model into Cura slicer it says that it was scaled up by 100,000%. This is normal. I designed it in Blender because it's the only 3d software I really know how to use and for some reason Blender exports it reeeeeeeeeeally small. To check whether yours is scaled correctly make sure the dimensions are 61.5*61.5*45.5 mm.
The TPU I use is from Amazon Basics. I printed with it using the recommended settings.
