This model is a housing for a stereo binaural microphone. I made this in the likeness of Crown's SASS mic for my nature recording hobby. It's posted here in hopes that you can make some use of it for your own recording adventures.

The 4 holes on the curved surface of the mic are for 10 mm mic capsules with a rubber mounting cover. The hole on the back panel is for a 5 pin mini-DIN connector.

Parts list:

1x 1/4-20 threaded insert McMaster. PN: 93365A160

8x heat-set 8-32 threaded inserts McMaster PN: 93365A142

8x 8-32 x 3/8 You'll need 8. McMaster PN Pack of 50: 98164A134

On the inside of the back plate there are 2 groups of 4 mounting studs for mounting preamp circuit boards I've designed.

When complete you can attach foam or other wind screen material as you see fit!

Edited: Added two more files, one where the back has a lip to it, and a back panel that has a cutout for a Neutrik 5 pin XLR connector.

Added enclosure and backplate for fitting a AT3032 mics and a 3/8" threaded insert instead of the 1/4 one.

Part number for the 3/8" insert is: https://www.mcmaster.com/93365A290
