BMW R1150GS Speedometer Drive Gear

Replacement gear for BMW R1150GS speedometer drive - BMW RealOEM number 62122306287. There is probably no official replacement part of the plastic drive, so I took the original one and re-modeled it.

Please note that dimensions of the model are precise and printing the model on your printer might cause some shrinking. Please tune your printer accordingly or scale the model a bit.

As it is a speedometer drive, print the drive in some better material such as ASA or Nylon. I've tested it with Fiberlogy Nylon PA12 and so far works for 5k km both in temperatures around 0°C and 40°C - testing it in Morocco motorcycle trip was good idea :-)

Note: due to shrinking of Nylon (and even PETG), I had most success with 101.5% scale of the model printed in Fiberlogy Nylon PA12. With this setup, drive just slipped into the drive and worked from 1st moment. Nothing had to be adjusted, sanded, etc. Just add proper grease into the drive.

Recommended settings

Filament: Fiberlogy Nylon PA12
Scale: 101.5%
Layer height: 0.15mm
Perimeters: 5
Infill: 80% (but it does not matter as it has 5 perimeters)
Supports: Yes, at least for the bottom (there is small step) - teeth are in 45 degree angle, so no need to support those individual ones.
