While designing my other dice tube, I wanted to make an even simpler and smaller one for some other dice, so I came up with this design.

It's a simple tube for 6 normal dice; inner diameter is 21mm. Takes only 6.5g filament, and about half an hour to print (depending on print settings). There are 2 holes in the cap for some (para)cord. The helical pattern is for rigidity.

Scale up for bigger dice.

Update: Added bigger tube for DnD dice set.

Update: Added tubes with different patterns.

Printing:

  • vase mode, 4 bottom layers, 0.2mm layer height
  • optional: I tend to set the cap's layer height to 0.17mm
  • advanced → extrusion width → external perimeters: 0.6mm
  • works with 0.4mm and 0.6mm nozzle
  • for faster prints: filament settings → cooling → slow down if layer print time is below: I used 3 seconds with my MINI. YMMV.

You can print tube and cap in one go:

  • add cap first, then tube, so they are printed in that order
  • place cap front left and tube back right on the print bed
  • print settings → output options → complete individual objects

I added a gcode file for the Mini.
