A re-design of the filament feed for the Prusa buffer to fit some PC4 fittings to allow for easier loading and feed of the filament. I hated the "secure the tubes with screws" design. You crimp the tube and if you screw a thread to many you nip the filament increasing drag.

Looked at a couple of other designs (will add pointers to them later!) and ended up designing these using the original part and adding the supports for the PC4 fittings in a way that made printing them so much easier.

Modified to use the correct thread for the PTFE connectors.

Based on https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3943306

Added on slot numbers to make it easier to identify as well.

Updated. Modified files to fit better. Added on Print and Spool side markers. Modified the threads for the PTFE connectors to 0.9mm as they should be.

Print Settings

Printer Brand: Prusa

Printer: MMU2s

Rafts: No

Supports: Yes

Resolution: 0.2

Infill: 20%

Filament: Prusament PETG Orange
Notes:

Sliced using Slicr and standard Prusa PETG settings from the Lack Enclosure parts except setting the support offset to 0.2 (detachable). Printed in orange to give contrast to match the printer.

I used 20% and Gyroid for infill but use what you want. Made for a longer print but!

Print both on the large back plane. Supports just peeled out. I used them just for the sake of it. might print without but didn't want any issues with the threaded holes.

Post-Printing

The screw threading for the PC4-M10 is actually 0.9 (odd stupid size) so the design and print was made with 1.0. Just take a little care to ease the PC4 fittings in and it all works.

Eased out the filament holes with a 3mm bit to clear out any hanging residue and remove an sharp edges.
