Well-Oiled Machine Trophy

Overview

This print-in-place mechanical trophy is perfect for congratulating that team in your life that works like a “well-oiled machine”…or yourself 😉.

The model is about 3.8 inches (100mm) tall.  I made the design in OnShape and there are a will be a few options to choose from:

• Basic - simple gear design
  • Original - original gear fit
  • Tighter - more teeth on the gears to make the fit a little tighter
  • Tightest - many more teeth on the gears to make the fit a lot tighter
• Vintage - gears with spokes
  • Original, Tighter, and Tightest 
• Steampunk - gears with swirled pattern
  • Original, Tighter, and Tightest 

The STLs don't have any text on them so you can easily add your own using the Prusa text tool, like below:

Update 3/25: I noticed after a test print that the gears wobble forward and backward a bit, which leads to them becoming un-meshed.  Added tighter and tightest versions for each design, which should help prevent them from becoming un-meshed.  

Printing

I printed the steampunk original gear fit version in Rainbow Silk PLA on the Prusa i3 MK3.  I've included the original STLs and g-code for all printing options, but let me know if you'd like any other versions and I'd be happy to make them!

If you re-slice, just be sure to include supports under the centers of the four outer gears, like what's shown in the g-code.
