This is my first attemp at creating a handle for allen keys where the end cap rotates. Based on the “Ultimate Allen/Hex Key Screwdriver rotating end cap” by radicalreel but print in place rather than using a bolt to secure the end cap.
I printed with 30% infill and 4 perimeters.
I have included a clearence test which should be printed in the same material and at the same settings you intend to use. The test can be turned with a 3mm allen key.
The handles are in folders select the tollerance folder you prefer 0.2mm, 0.25mm, 0.3mm, 0.35mm or 4mm. I printed these with a large brim because they are tall with a narrow base. just make sure the brim is set for outside only, otherwise you will fuse the rotating part.
Print the cap for the size of allen key you want. a spot fo glue will hold these in place. you can change colour part way through printing to make the numbers stand out.
The allen key is held in by a screw fitting. It uses the same fitting as these T handles. Go to https://www.printables.com/model/416423-allen-key-hex-wrench-t-handles-sizes-15mm-4mm/files and down load the Allen Key core for the size you want.
The author remixed this model.
