READ UNTIL THE END, IM NOT TAKING RESPONSABILITY FOR DAMAGE
I printed the awesome design of scaryPug and realized that there were some differences between the ender 3 backplate and the ender 5, so i modified his design to fit the ender 5.
I used a 47.5mm long PTFE tube and seems to work fine, i'll update if any changes are needed.
it has been printing great, better quality than the older bowden setup.
The retraction tower (0.6mm nozzle and 0.32mm layer height) starts from 0.3mm retraction distance and goes up 0.1mm each step, and as you can see, there is no stringing in any of them, all printed with 35mm/s retraction speed. important to note that the filament is 1 year old pla!
for better quality photos and understanding of how to mount it go to scaryPug'soriginal design and check his photos, they are all very clear.
VERY IMPORTANT: if you are planning on doing this mod and panning on using the original extruder motor cable, this cable wont be long enough, either you buy a 1.5 meter nema motor cable or you splice an extension like i did. BE CAREFUL splicing the extension, creality cables are all black, and you want to respect the order of the cables you are soldering together, if you dont know how to do this, i highly recommend you buy yourself a longer cable and look for a tutorial online because if you solder in the wrong order in the best case your motor will spin backwards, but in the worst case you may damage you motherboard.
