Background

I was looking for a lancet disposal box for my random tests, but there is only one option I see here, which requires bridging and  didn't work with vase mode.

Execution

So I gave it a  shot in Fusion360 and came up with a quick loft , and a simple vase mode model for the bottle and also a friction fit lid.

Dimensions

The bottle is about 61mm tall, and 36x36 wide and deep outside. The inside usable area is around 45mm height and 33x33 mm wide and deep. The mouth is about 10.5 mm in diameter , so it should be easy to insert the 10mm wide generic lancet.

This should hold about 20-25 lancets.

Printing Guide

Settings /  Configuration

I have printed this with 0.6mm nozzle, 1mm line width and 0.2mm layer height.

If you are using a 0.4mm nozzle, you can easily do linewidth of 0.8mm in vase mode (spiralize outer countour in cura).

The lid is friction fit, and so you might have to scale the X and Y accordingly for it to be a better fit based on your printer tolerance and line width.

Material

I printed this with PLA, but I donot see any reason why this will not work with other materials.

Duration

The bottle took around 40 minutes to print, lid took 3 minutes.
