Makes a great fidget toy

I love just the feel of the top in hand and it spins on just about any flat surface.

There are a few well-being benefits of such a toy such as:

  1. Stress relief: Fidget toys can help to relieve stress and anxiety by providing a physical outlet for nervous energy. When you are feeling stressed or anxious, fidgeting with a toy can help to calm your mind and reduce tension in your body.
  2. Improved focus and concentration: Fidget toys can also help to improve focus and concentration by providing a mild distraction that can help to keep your mind from wandering. This can be especially helpful for people with ADHD or other attention disorders.
  3. Increased creativity: Fidget toys can also help to stimulate creativity and problem-solving skills by providing a tactile, hands-on experience that can help to spark new ideas and insights.
  4. Relaxation: Some fidget toys, such as stress balls or sensory rings, can provide a relaxing sensory experience that can help to reduce anxiety and promote relaxation.

Overall, fidget toys can be a helpful tool for promoting well-being and improving mental and emotional health. By providing a physical outlet for stress and anxiety, improving focus and concentration, stimulating creativity, and promoting relaxation, fidget toys can be a valuable addition to your daily routine. Printing

The secret sauce is minimising 1st layer expansion or elephant's foot to reduce the obvious seam where the two parts meet.

I set Initial Layer Horizontal Expansion in Cura to -0.3mm.

Printed on Ankermake M5; 0.4mm nozzle; 0.2mm layer height; various filaments.

Assembly

Once printed, cut 3 x 5mm pieces of 1.75mm filament and insert into top or bottom part. Apply a little superglue to the these and dot some superglue sparingly around the disc of one half. Locate the holes in the other part using the filament to align. Use the Tool_Stand to help align the parts if needed.

I use a mini clamp to hold the parts while the glue sets.
