Store and organize your router bits in one or more of these 16-hole holders. Choose either ¼-inch or ½-inch shank versions. Each can be printed as a 4x4 matrix in several versions:
Each holder is 85mm square (3.35 inches) by 24mm (0.945 inches) tall. I have a mix of ½-inch and ¼-inch shank router bits, so I printed multiple holders. They will fit happily in a drawer or a storage box.
If you don’t need color coding, print the 1-Color version. Each file is labeled 025 for ¼-inch shank or 050 for ½-inch. If you want color coding but don't have a multicolor printer, print the Sockets version in the appropriate size, then print Collars in your choice of colors. If you have a multicolor printer, use the Multicolor version and define your colors in the slicer.
Color coding can help you keep track of special bits, such as a series of undersized bits used for weird thicknesses of plywood. Or premium bits for special occasions. Or to separate cutters from pattern bits from rabbets from dados from lock joints.
