Soap dispenser magnetic refill lid v2

Magnetic refill lid for common household soap dispensers. Reduces plastic waste and lets you use discount refill packs.

v2 Note: Redesigned the lower part so the magnets are fully enclosed in the print. In the first version they would tend to get wet and the cheap magnets I got from Ebay would rust and expand quite a bit, destroying the print after a while.

Print instructions

Requires 4x 8mm diameter x 3mm height magnets. Print with .15mm layer height for best results.

Insert a print pause/filament change at 3.8mm in the slicer so you can put the magnets into both parts (verify the orientation of the magnets first), or just manually pause the print. The pre-sliced g-code has a filament change included.

Drill a hole with a diamenter of at least 18mm into the center top of the soap cartridge. Press the lower part onto the cartridge - should be a snug fit, but if you want to make sure it stays put add a thin film of super glue onto the inner ridge beforehand. And that's it, upper part adjusts itself and stays in place by itself thanks to the magnets.
