In Mark Rober's recent video, he mentions this type of bed bug trap, which is designed to be placed underneath bed/couch/furniture legs. As the bed bugs are attracted to these tall objects, they will climb the first ridge of the trap, and then get stuck in the middle well.
The important parameters are “Outer Diameter,” “Well Length,” “Spike Height,” and “Spike Angle.” Fiddling around will show them to be fairly self-explanatory. For the sake of open source (and because it'd be a rather pathetic parametrizable model that doesn't include a .f3d file), I've included the .f3d file.
Soon, I plan on designing a version that can be slotted onto furniture legs, as lifting up a bed and putting it on a plastic piece is moderately inconvenient. (Out by 3.12.2023).
