Printed parts to convert a dry goods container into a filament dry container. Make sure your container has fitting dimensions. The one I used is 24,4L x 10,9B x 24.8H cm with an opening diameter of 60mm.

You can throw the silica packages that come with the filament in there to keep everything dry. I recommend getting some silica gel and print a little capsule (like this one) to put into the container.

BOM

  • 4x 608ZZ bearing
  • 1x PC4-01 Bowden quick connector
  • dry storage container that fits a full spool (I got mine from here)
  • roughly 40g of filament
  • bit of sanding paper for the rollers
  • (8mm pipe/rod if you don't want to use the rollers)

Assembly

  1. Sand the two roller halfs down until the bearings snugly fit over both of them.
  2. Click the bearings into the base.
  3. Screw the Bowden quick connector into the passthrough.
  4. Insert passthrough into the container opening.
  5. ????
  6. Profit!

Let me know if it works for you. I would love ot see a make posted here!
