9g Servo Arm

Why?

I wanted to make a full robotic arm using servos to move it.

What is needed?

Depending on your resources and preferences there are 3 paths. 

Path 1

Path 1 is what I am doing. You need everything from the 9g Claw. Path 1 uses the following:

• 1 9g Servo claw
• 1 Base-Arm
• 1 Extension
• 1 Base
• 1 Arm-Claw V2(Servoless)

Hardware for Path 1

• 4 9g servos (including the 2 in the claw)
• 2 Servo Horns (including the 2 in the claw)
• 3 Servo screws (I have not factored in more screws to attach to parts as it is a tight fit)

Path 2

Path 2 uses 5 servos you will need everything from the 9g Claw.

• 1 9g Servo claw
• 1 Base-Arm
• 1 Extension
• 1 Base
• 1 Arm-Claw

Hardware for Path 2

• 5 9g servos (including the 2 in the claw)
• 3 Servo Horns (Plus the 2 in the claw)
• 3 Servo screws (I have not factored in more screws to attach to parts as it is a tight fit)

Path 3

Path 3 is just the Arm and no Claw.

Controlling the Arm and/or the Claw

I used A microbit, Crickit with a breadboard and a potentiometer to control the claw and arm. But depending on resources you could use anything as long as it can support 4 or 5 servos.

Building the Arm and/or the Claw

I will create a Step by step guide which I will put at the bottom of the Files tab. I also have attached a google slides link. which I will update to fit the arm
