Hey! It's 3-d 4 in a row!  To play, you'll need to print:

3D Board- 4

3D Tic Tac Toe peg caps - 4 sets

3D Tic Tac Toe peg no caps - 4 sets [for these i recommend 2-3mm of skirt to aid in adhesion]

3D X and 3D O - as many as you think you'll need.  I recommend no fewer than 15 each; a completely full board will hold only 32 of each.

Assembly:

To assemble, start from the bottom.  Push a peg cap through each of the 4 corners of one of the boards.  Then place a peg with the word “row” on each of those lower caps.

Now place a second board on top of those pegs.  Place a peg with the words “in a” on each of the pegs in the corners.

Place a third board on those pegs. Then put the last set of pegs labeled “Four” on top of the corner pegs.

Place the last board on top of the pegs then put the caps on those pegs.

I made the clearances generous so use CA glue if necessary to keep the game stable.

Game play:

Take turns placing Xs and Os until one player has 4 in a row in any direction in any dimension.  So a player can use either one board or all 4 to make their 4 in a row!

In the photos below, all Xs and Os are showing winning placements.

Strategy:

The four spots in the center of each of the two middle boards are the most important to control.

Have fun!
