This is my version of the buffer required for the MMU (or MMU2s)

I based my design on other similar buffers but wanted to add some modifications so I redesigned this one completely from scratch.

The wheel turns very smoothly on a 6200 bearing.

I wanted a relatively big wheel so the turn radius is not too tight to avoid friction. The total assembly is 12.5cm tall and 14cm wide.

2 M10 fittings guide a 4mm PTFE tube all the way to the wheel.

Friction is very low.

Also a nice feature is the wheel turning while printing.

Parts needed :

  • 4 printed parts
  • 2 x M10 PTFE fittings
  • PTFE tube
  • 1 x M3x30 bolt
  • 1 x M3 nut
  • 2 x zipties
  • 1 x 6200 bearing (10x30x9)
