This is a printer-friendly version of the v0.7 module casing used in scottbez1's split-flap display project. The original module case uses laser cut pieces. This does allow better precision but can be costly especially if you're looking to only experiment with a few modules. This model combines multiple laser-cut parts into single components to reduce the number of items to print from 12 down to 4!
This model is specifically for the 40-flap v1 mechanics. No support for v2 yet.
LIMITATION: This model currently doesnt support the inter-module connectors present on the original. If I end up deciding to use all 3d-printed cases for my larger display I'll revisit this.
Note: I've included 2 different case versions. One version preserves the m4 bolt+captive nuts on the front face. This is for mounting the module to a larger front face like plywood.
General print settings:
Resolution: 0.2
Infill: 10-20%
Supports: only on “bulk of case”
The author remixed this model.
clarify that this is housing v1 not the new v2 thats soon to be released by Scott
