This is a fully parametric, lidless box that I made as an exercise to learn how to use OpenSCAD. Parameters that can be changed include: box dimensions, wall thickness, corner roundedness, hex radius, and which walls of the box have the hexagon pattern.
Changelog:
9/13/2020 - Added normalized offset for hexes for fine-tweaking of their position.
Depending on the desired material and parameters this can be a tricky print. It should, however, be possible to possible to print this without supports for pretty much any parameterization. I've been using this model to learn how PETG behaves. PLA should be much cleaner to print this with.
The included gcode and model file are for the box in the photo, which is printed with orange Prusament PETG. It's printed with the 0.20mm Quality preset.
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
