Introducing what I believe to be the perfect Gridfinity baseplates with a good balance between functionality while lowering material use.

Quick Video Guide

I wanted baseplates that could be used standalone or fit together to create one bigger baseplate e.g. for covering a bottom of a large drawer without using any additional hardware while making sure they stay aligned.

These baseplates have holes around the edge to friction fit multiple baseplates together using a “pin” made from “raw” filament. The filament should be a tight enough fit to hold multiple baseplates together although if you are finding the holes a little too small the best thing to do is chuck a short piece of filament in a drill and use the filament as a drill bit to ever so slightly enlarge the holes to a perfect fit.

If you want more of a permanent fit you can either flatten the ends of the pin with a pair of pliers or you can melt the ends with a lighter and use the hot metal on the lighter to flatten the ends.

This is the Magnet version in which you can press fit a 6x2mm magnet although these are compatible and the same outer dimensions with my lite version that can be found HERE.

All sizes from 1x1 to 10x10 have been included.
