I wanted a clean, minimalist towel holder to match my bathroom aesthetic so I designed this one. It's got no visible screws or fasteners and is perfectly sized for a friction fit that's sturdy but simple to take back apart if needed.

You just need some 1 ¼-inch dowel (standard at most US hardware stores, equivalent to 32mm) cut to your preferred length and a couple of screws. It's got a little inset in the back so it will still sit flat if you are mounting it to wall anchors. The mounting holes are 16mm apart, make sure to level the screw holes in the wall so that they are vertical.

To make the pegs look extra good I highly recommend sanding the end of the dowel to give it a bit of a soft rounded edge (see the pictures) and I sanded and oiled the rest of the pegs so they'd have a natural wood look, which only took a few minutes total.

Mount into a stud or via anchors. The back side of the model has space so that the part still fits flat against the wall when using anchors.
