****UPDATE 2023/05/09****

I made yet even more revisions to my MMU2S buffer towers.  Because I have rather large hands and can't really navigate the filament in small spaces very well.  I decided to design this system as 5 seperate units and can be placed anywhere.  I put a base plate at the bottom so that they can be attached to a table top or screwed into a wall.  And last but not least I added the spool holder attachment at the top of the buffer.  Changed the angle of the filament inlet and outlet plus a hole adequate for placing a M10 Straight Pneumatic Push Fiiting.

I have been using this with the latest V4 upgrades for about a month now and it has been performing wonderfully.

I did a little remix on each side where the PTFE tubes come in.  As I mentioned below that is really tight when inserting the tubes into the printed holes.  This remix should make it way easier.

****UPDATE 2023/02/10****

I have revised all the parts and added another (Spacer).  I think everything is self explanatory.  I have not tested this as a whole yet as I am still printing parts.  I will be able to test everything as a completed buffer over the weekend.  I made the pulley a little wider which in turn makes the “towers” a little wider.  I think this will help with getting fingers into the small spaces to feed the filament into the PTFE tubes.  The holes provided for the PTFE tubes are kind of tight by design so you may have to bore them a little depending on your print settings.

This is my take on the filament buffer for the Prusa MMU2S multi-material attachment.

The 5 spool holders get screwed to the 2 mount rails with flat head screws.

I used the bearings from and the stock aluminum pipes that came with the original MMU2S Buffer for the pulley wheels axel.

I attached the mounts to a wall with 3m adhesive removable Velcro type strips.

Inspiration for this version came mostly from this buffer:
