Was able to get this done really easy. Loved the way it printed.

Had to cut them a bit but works really well in the housing!
Very clever print orientation by the way! (edited)
Worked great. Printed them all on 0.6mm nozzles.
The two front ones on my MK3S with AddNorth PETG Clear on the bottom and LostBoysLab Addnite P15R PETG/rubber mix on the top.
The two side ones printed on my Prusa Mini+ using AddNorth E-PLA Glow in the Dark for the bottom and AddNorth X-PLA Black for the top.
Looks great! Printed 2x 165mm and 4x 215mm with the color change supplied in the 3MF, which is perfect to go around the MMU cutout on the V2 enclosure. Also printed end caps and right angles from Lowell's remix.
So, question regarding fitment of the LED strips. Are they attached onto the wood or are they attached to one side of the channel? Thanks.
Mine were sticky backed to the wood but they didn't stick well so they tend to just set inside. Any way would likely work well though.
Thanks for that.. Just have to wait for my transparent filament to turn up then I will be printing them.
Which LED light strip did you use? (edited)
I'm not sure, I had some 12V strips but I can't remember where I got them from. But any strips should work. If you get a 24V version you can power them directly from the printers power supply.
Do you have recommendations for printing? With which infill have you had good experiences with transparent PETG?
I used the default 15% gyroid infill but it probably doesn't matter what you use, there is only one layer of infill that is generated.
The hobby photographer in me is very happy about this. Makes the webcam image much more pleasing without any glares in the acrylic sheets.
This is a totally awesome idea! People are mind blown when I explain that the light cover was printed as a single part! I made some end covers and right-angle corner pieces to work on my Prusa Printer Enclosure V2 and shared them as remix of this design. Amazing stuff! Thanks for sharing!
Very nice! I didn't think of endcaps, good job!
