This time I've designed EASY TO PRINT wire dispenser! There are 2 versions:

  • 5 larger reels (box5 + 5x reel5 + 5x cover) - larger cables
  • 10 smaller reels (box10 + 10x reel10 + 10x cover) - thinner cables
We all got messy cables lying around and this is very nice solution! It's stackable (box is same size regarding of reel number) and very easy to print solution. Just print box and reels, than assemble the reels (I've glued them together) and just wind the cable on the reel. When you have all reels filled up, insert the rod from the side and that's it!

You can use 6mm plastic, wooden, aluminium, brass, steel rod, tube or stick INSTEAD of printing it. I used brass tubes I got laying around. It needs to be around 152mm in length.

There is also top plate inside, that can be printed and used if you got very dusty workplace.

SILICON WIRES I RECOMMEND AVAILABLE WORLDWIDE (higher AWG = thinner wire):

Printer Brand: Prusa

Printer: Prusa Mk2

Rafts: No

Supports: No

Resolution: 0.2mm

Infill: 20-100%

Notes:

I really recommend printing this with 0.4mm nozzle at 0.2mm layer height. It will be strong, light and you will use very little material and time. No supports, brims or anything needed. Can be printed in any material, except flexible. I recommend PLA, as it's the most simple and cheap.

Post-Printing

You can threat your 3D printed parts with this method.
