Want to modify a design and don't know how. We can help and often work for free, email us to ask. See the contact detail on our page.
For more of my designs check out my website: https://3domcontact.wixsite.com/3dom

This is my latest update on this desiccant box. It is redesigned ignoring the original designs and approaching the box with a view to make it easy to use and functional. Will hold up to 500g of desiccant beads.

In this iteration I dispensed with the hinge and door style and have added a threaded hole and cap similar to a flask.

If you want to see the other two versions have a look here;

I have also done a smaller container, see here: Desiccant Container - SQ80x35x120

Print Settings

Printer Brand: Prusa

Printer: i3 MK3

Rafts: No

Supports: No

Resolution: 0.2

Infill: N/A

Filament: Prusa PETG Transparent
Notes:

Material and colour are not important, but I prefer to use Transparent filament to make monitoring the condition of the beads much easier.
The beads that I buy come Blue and change to a light pink as they get saturated.

Print with the large flat sides to the print bead. There is not need for supports.

Post-Printing

To allow the opening on the body to print cleanly without supports the opening has a 0.2 mm layer across it. This needs to be removed to open the hole.
This should be easy with a knife or scissors, but I like to use a hot cutter to ensure a fairly clean finish.
