i saw the xblinds projekt on thingiverse and it worked great but i wanted to create a direct drive . I found the Motor Upgrade for LIDL Roller Blinds and together with the xblinds software i created my direct drive solution.
so far it worked up to 2m of roller blinds on a glass door but you may need a XL6009E1 step up converter to boost the voltage to 6,5 Volts for the driver modul of the stepper so it has more torque i made a custom lid for this board to intergrate it it hastn print yet but i update the post if it work
printed in PLA
supports needed
the electronic circuit you can see at the xblinds on github: https://github.com/kp-bit/xblinds
on the housing for the 608zz bearing it created a tpu damper so if the blinds touch the wall it doesnt destroy the wall
you need:
1x 608zz bearing
0,5m of 0,14mm2 wire for the connection between d1 mini and driver board
1x D1 Mini board
1x 5V 28BYJ-48 ULN2003 Stepper Motor with Drive Module Board
1x Step Up Converter XL6009E1
5V USB Power Supply i recommend 2 Amps or more
i used 1,0mm2 wires for the connection between 5V Power and the blinds but this is custom for your length of your cables but with 1,0mm2 you are good to go in most cases
Cable channel for hiding cables
i also created some connectors for Amazon Basic Blinds these are a little different they have a little knodge
