YOU NEED TO SACRIFICE A WORKING VOLVO KEY TO FINISH THIS PROJECT
The plastic heads on Volvo keys from the 1990's always get sticky and dirty. So I decided to print a new one aaaand it's better than original :)
You have to cut open your old volvo key to extract the transponder for the immobilizer and the key itself. The transponder is very fragile - be careful when cutting into the plastic.
PRINTING:
You have to pause the print at the layer where the pocket for key is finished, then insert your key and the transponder and resume the print.
Set a pause command at the correct layerhight in your slicer to insert the key and transponder.
This should work for keys branded "Valeo" or "Ymos" with a "MADE IN UK" imprint.
I also uploaded some photos for comparison.
The pocket for the key is a very tight fit - if you have problems with the fit, I can also share the fusion 360 file, so you can edit it.
