Would it be possible to get a version of the lid with no hole for the display, just a solid top?

Perfect! I had to split in twice since my printer can't handle the hight. Epoxy and sanded. Pre-tested install of Pi with excellent fitting. Thanks Mr Joseph for great support and conversation!
