This is yet another version of Flexi Rex with stronger links by DrLex, see that page for background and how to print a plain Rex.
Note I have only used two perimeters; if you print this for a younger child you might want to use three as DrLex recommends.
(The blue and gold print.)
This Flexi Rex has slicer settings to add a ‘lightning’ infill pattern on the top and bottom layers, giving a scale effect, especially when printed in two or more colours.
With a Prusa Mk3 or Mini, changing the filament during the print is easy — the printer will prompt you. If you change the size, remember to change when these colour changes happen on the print preview (G-code) screen.
(The black and silver print.)
The second 3MF file has one-layer modifications applied to the first and last layer to change the colour for half of the scales on those layers. If you print this, you'll need to use an opaque filament.
The author remixed this model.
