So, I tried printing the other Z-top axis bearing mod… a few times. I could never dial in the shrinkage quite perfect to my liking. While my printed piece was nearly identical in size as expected (to the 0.05mm) the vertical bars were not quite in alignment (the top was off 0.05-0.1mm between the frame and the bar between stock and new).
I know this is a small number, but I wanted more perfection.
I made these (tiny) bearing adapters to fit, instead. They were sized off of the cad drawing from sovol. They allow you to use a total of 4 8x12x3.5mm bearings with the stock cap.
