Perfection

It does what it says on the box, I just wasn't expecting it to pivot so much around the wheel axle. There's a lot I like about this mod, but for my needs, I am worried about the motor shifting during fast moves. What's done is done though, so I'm thinking about adding a rubber pad as a shim to keep it from rubbing the wheel, then slowly printing a full hotend+extruder replacement. (edited)
Installed it on my friend's printer to try to upgrade it a little bit. Seems to have worked great! Nice design 👍
It moves a bit as it can pivot around the bolt when you reposition by hand. This doesn't seem to affect the print at all as this whole assembly is quite chonky. It works well and it used a plastic single gear extruder much better than it ever worked with a bowden tube.
This was the first thing I printed and I used the sample PLA straight out of the box. It sat next to my printer for months until I needed to change out my PTFE tubing and fittings. Figured if I was going to do all of that I might as well do the upgrade. Everything fit together great and I could not be happier with the way my printer is performing after the upgrade. (edited)
I have printed this unit with the included filament, i have yet to install it, the only thing i would like to see added to the bracket is part to be able to use the Filament runout detection sensor.
Isn't the sample filament PLA? Wouldn't the extruder stepper just warp it? It will get as hot as 80C
I printed two in PLA and both warped after a single print. OOTB as long as my vrefs are turned down? I don't even know what a vref is. I'm going to clog my toilet trying to flush this turd.
@Moloking_1618294 Might as well print a plunger!
