Over time, band saw throat plates get damaged or destroyed. This occurs when making tight turns and the saw blade eats away at the throat plate. This file allows you to print a replacement anytime you need or you can print several and keep them on hand for when you need them.
I printed mine using nylon filament but I do not see any reason why you couldn't use whatever filament you have on hand. I also print the top of the throat plate face down on the print surface to keep the surface as smooth as possible.
My settings:
Note: My throat plate has several small set screws inserted in three of the perimeter holes. The holes are used to align the surface of the throat plate to be flush with the surface of the saws table. I have selected a printed hole size that allows me to directly insert my set screws in the new throat plate.
