Hello all!
I needed to make a cup adapter for my large water bottle for my car (which is a 2018 Honda Pilot). I figure that different cars have different cup holder sizes. I designed this one to be strong and be printed with very little material (that is why there is a huge hole in the middle). You will note that all angles are designed so that no supports would be needed (again I don't want to waist filament).
You will note that there are two files, one with words and one with out. I discovered how to make words so I tried it out on this project. I used Onshape to design this adaptor (see dimension picture).
I used Cura as my slicer. Settings below:
Quality: Default
Shell: Default
Infill: 10%, Gyroid
Temperature: *should be what you need it to be for your material
I used PLA at 205 degrees nozzle and 55 degree bed.
everything else was Default.
It came out pretty strong. It didn't break when it I squeezed it. It holds the bottle nice and snug with out the rubber bit at the end of some of the thermoflask water bottles.
Enjoy!
