Greetings and welcome to the PET bottle challenge, my name is David. Grab your favorite drink and let the challenge begin!
PET recycling or probably better described as reforming, is the process of taking a PET bottle and turning it into filament for your 3D printer. With folks upgrading to new larger or fast printers, many people are wondering what they can do with their old 3D printer.
So, are you up to the challenge? Here is it…
Here is the mini bottle. It takes about 5 grams, or 2 meters (or 6 feet) of filament to make one. Amazingly that one normal bottle. On the mini bottle there are marks that show how many grams successfully printed. One, two, three, the fourth in the neck and five is the entire bottle.
Now it’s your turn. Can you create filament? Can you be more efficient? Take the PET bottle challenge and see how many bottles you can create!
The author marked this model as their own original creation.
