Building off the snap fit connector I designed (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:218949), I wanted to see how big of things I could build. This is a fully printable, modular staff. Could be fun for a costume or just for display.
I also made a version with a orb on top as a wizard staff/wand (http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:223622).
Sliced at Medium quality in Makerware (0.2 mm layer height, 10% infill). Printed on a Replicator 2 in PLA. All parts are printable without supports. You get a bit of drooping at the connector edges, but it can be trimmed easily with a razor blade or by hand (if you have small hands).
I'm 5'10" and it took 11 connectors, 10 linkers, and 2 end caps to get a staff my height.
Once all the parts were printed, I snapped them together by hand. It's a tight fit, so you need to wiggle them together a little bit at a time. If you apply too much force, the posts can snap. To reduce the damage from a break, I put a linker on each of the posts first, then started linking the posts together.
