Remix of Humebeams Adjustable Belt Tensioner. The hex nut is replaced with a brass heat insert nut, and I also added two screws with belonging insert nuts to make a tight grip to the belt so it won't let the belt slip so easy.

I made this for my Tenlog IDEX printer (with "BMG extruders) since my printers built-in way to tighten the belts both didn't allow enough space to tighten with, and also were troublesome to reach and adjust. I had to keep the models small to be able to use them between each belt loops. The ones by the E1 are slightly touching E2 when E1 and E2 are put directly to each other, but they slip under anyway. The chance you will print anything so large E1 and E2 touch each other are really small anyway.

I made a version with a bar between the two parts to try to keep them straight. Don't know if it really makes a difference, so I made a “clean” version of them as well.

Except for the filament itself you need for each set following:

  • 3 x M3 brass insert nuts
  • 2 x shorter M3 screws for the belt fixture (about 8-10 mm long)
  • 1 x longer M3 screw for the tension function itself

You may have to mirror this in your slicer to suit your needs before printing it.

I hope you'll like it!
