This is a simple three-axis gimbal that I made one night when the desire struck to make a small simple robot. I designed the CAD myself, with the limitation that I wanted to be able to print it all in one go in my 100mm^3 printer. I ended up just printing it in separate pieces, but it still works as a small simple robot. Here's some gifs of it in action: https://gfycat.com/PerfectIdealisticDuckbillcat https://gfycat.com/BeneficialOptimalFluke
I'm not thrilled with it, as there are some aesthetic changes that I'd like to make, but it still works great so I thought I'd upload what I have so far.
Besides a printer, all it takes to build this thing are 3 microservos and an arduino. (If you want the electronics and wiring to tuck away neatly into the base you need to use a mini or nano.)
The gimbal doesn't DO anything but move at the moment, which is why the "main arm" is just a dummy arm in lieu of a camera mount or laser pointer mount or whatever. I haven't decided what to put there just yet.
