I had a number of 250g and 300g spools of filament that I wanted to use with my Bambulabs X1 Carbon in the AMS.

These are too small to work in the AMS, so I designed in Fusion 360 a simple 3 part spool adapter, that using a bar with an interference fit to lock the 250g / 300g spool between two printed larger spool halves.

I have been printing with this set up in the AMS successfully, but I have uploaded the cad models so that anyone with the cad / design ability can download, hopefully improve it and share with the community.

Instructions:

Print the 3 parts and put the small spool on to the ‘Outer’ piece and try to line up the round through hole on the small spool with the slot on the Outer part.

Slot the ‘Inner’ part into the Outer part, lining all the holes and slots up, and push the locking bar through all the parts so that a couple of mm's are protuding out of each side of the whole set up.

The Locking Bar has to be a tight fit that takes a bit of force to push through and lock all the parts together. If it's not tight enough then scale the Locking Bar up in Bambu Studio by increments of 0.5% until you can only just push it through to fix all the elements together.

Hopefully, someone can take this idea and make it better so feel free to do so if you are able.
