I know, there are a lot of bed leveling knobs already. I wanted to design this one to:

  • be easy to print
  • be designed for printed strength (rather than copying aluminum designs)
  • use inserts (rather than nuts, which I tend to accidentally glue on the inside)
  • gain practice as a new modeler

I've had these knobs on my printer for a month and haven't had any problems: The plastic scrapes against the bed mount enough to keep the level stable; I have only needed to adjust the leveling after moving the printer to my other work bench or swapping build plates.

The M4 inserts I used are pictured, 8mm long, and 5.8mm diameter holes turned out to be perfect for setting these with a soldering iron. If you have inserts with different diameter, you may easily adapt the file by changing the diameter in the sketch on Onshape (link) and then exporting the part.
