We made these colorful reindeer napkin rings! They are quick and easy to print, using multiple colors even if you have a single extruder machine.
Merry Christmas everyone! 🦌🎅🎄
The rings have an inner diameter of 35 mm, which should be good for most cloth napkins.
The reindeers and the rings are printed separately and assembled. They lock in place as you can see in the pictures. The attachment is sturdy and secure, but if you want to you can secure them with a bit of glue (we didn't need to).
We printed them at 0.2 mm layer height, using a 0.4 mm nozzle.
You can use PLA, which is perfectly fine. Though, we found that some filaments are more brittle than others and the attachment of the ring may be too fragile if you are planning to disassemble them after use. The ones in the photos are printed using Fillamentum's PLA Extrafill Gold Happens (affiliate link) and Prusament PLA Lipstick Red for the color inlays and Fillamentum's PLA Extrafil Traffic White (affiliate) for the contour and the back of the deers. These filaments worked perfectly for us.
The files we are sharing can be used to print the reindeers with a single color. If you split the objects into parts using PrusaSlicer, you can assign different color to each part to get multicolor prints like we did!
