I designed this spool roller to be silent in operation, have low rolling resistance, and low bearing revolutions for increased bearing longevity.

This should work for nearly any size or weight filament spool.

It requires:

6 x 6088ZZ bearings.

1 x 6.5" OD (165mm, 2.5mm) O-ring (optional but recommended)

To assemble, think "3, 4, 5". The 3 spoke part is the base, the 4 spoke cruciform is next, add the spacer, and finally the 5 spoke top.

The rubber o-ring is nice because it provides a uniform but non-skid contact with the table or 3d printer. Rubber feet would have made the bearing track bumpy.

Notes:

I printed everything at 100%. I wanted the center pins to be extra strong. I also wanted the spool wedge to be heavy. The spool wedge self centers the spool if you just drop it down on the spindle. Works great!
