Party glasses - 2023

A model of funny glasses for celebrating the arrival of the new year 2023.

Printing:

Print takes a little over 2 hours and I reccomend to use color-change during print (the .3mf and gcode files are color-change ready). But of course you can go without color-change as well.

• Use PLA to bend the front part well in hot water.
• Use brim for the temples (see 3mf file).
• Custom supports are ready for the revolute joint of the temples and work well for 0,2mm layerheight.

Post processing:

1. Remove temple brims and clean the edges.
2. Bend the front frame a bit using hot water (or heat gun) and coffee saucer. Hot tap water was sufficient in my case. Also see the images.
3. Remove small support blocks from the temples.
4. Try to insert the filament into the holes. The holes will probably need to be enlarged.
5. Slide the temples onto the frame and insert the filament.
6. Trim the end of the filament.
7. Enjoy the party ;)
