Added a magnetic quick detach mechanism to Val s awesome design.
Like this its easy to get the tracker on and off without having to unscrew the tracker from the base.
The magnets do not interfere with the pico at all. No problems with the fan nor problems with Wifi ( Virtual Desktop)
I raised the mount slightly so with a HTC 2.0 tracker puck there is enough clearance for the fan exhaust .
All you need is 8 magnets ( 6x3mm neodymium)

Double sided tape:

Use the double sided tape to mount the base on top of the pico4.
Use some superglue to glue the magnets into the holes.
I also used a piece of thin felt on the top side so the metal of the magnets dont have direct contact making it easier to get them off the headset.
Why would you need this? If you want to use Steam VR knuckles ( or any other lighthouse based tracking device) and full body tracking with your Pico4 in combination with Virtual desktop there was always a problem of shifting/ desync if the calibration of the headsets optical tracking failed making your avatar twist weirdly in Vrchat for example.
With this Tracker and some additional software you can have “ continuous calibration” where the position of the headset is constantly calibrated and like that no more “ desyncs” If you want to know more check Val s original design, there you can find the link to the software , also dont forget to give him a like as this is only a modified version of his original mount!!
