You can easily disperse particles onto the carbon tape using a rubber dust blower.

You need:

  • Grommet :5 mm inner diameter (Like this link)
  • Rubber seals cut into disks with an external diameter of 22.5 mm and an internal diameter of 17.5 mm
  • Plastic bottle with bottom cut off
  • Rubber dust blower

How to use.

  1. Place sample particles into the “Particle-cup”.
  2. Place the “Particle-cup” in the mouth of the plastic bottle.
  3. Attach the “Disperser” to the plastic bottle.
  4. Place the sample stub with carbon tape inside the bottle.
  5. Press the rubber dust blower against the insertion opening of the “Disperser” and blow air. (It is better to do this on a rubber sheet, as particles may leak through the gap between the plastic bottle and the ground surface.)
  6. Use the rubber dust blower to blow away excess particles on the carbon tape and the sample is ready for a microscope.

I think Particle-cup needs improvement.
