No, I did not write a slightly over-the-top sales pitch like that, but I had to see if the newly released ChatGPT AI could write Printables item descriptions 😂
I designed this wall-mounted organizer for our ER20 collet sets at Stockholm Makerspace, where we have at least 3 full sets since multiple of our machines are using this type.
It holds up to 16 collets, in our case we use it for a 13pcs set of metric collets 1-13mm, and additionally 1/8", 1/4" and 1/2" imperial sizes, mostly because end mills in those sizes can sometimes be cheaper than their metric equivalent.
All the collet pockets have open bottoms, so they aren't collecting dust, chips, and other things flying around in your workshop.
I have included 3 different versions.
1.) Dual-Material/Dual-Color.
This is the one that I printed myself. This is a dual extrusion version where you have one file for the main body and one file for the liners and text, where I printed the body in red Ultimaker ABS and the liners in black Ultimaker TPU95A.
I really like the feel of the TPU liners, but they aren't strictly necessary, if you like, you can just print these in another color for the looks.
All parts are designed to mechanically interlock even if you aren't getting perfect bonding between the two materials, and the only place you are printing the 2nd material on top of the 1st material is the text, all the collet liners have direct contact with the print bed.
2. ) Change at Z height
In this version, the ER20 text is raised from the surface, so you can do a material change at Z = 20mm and get another color for the text.
3.) Single material/Recessed text
This is a version with all the bodies merged and the text still recessed as in the original version, easiest to print, and you could fill the ER20 text in with a marker or paint, or just leave it the same color.
