Klingon D'k Tahg from Star Trek

Here is a D'k tahg for a Klingon warrior as seen in Star Trek.    

It consist of three parts including the blade and two halves of the handle.  It is assembled with two 6-32 screws and nuts.  One side of the handle features a round counter sink for the screw head and the other side features a hexagonal countersink allowing you to assemble this item with only a screwdriver.    

The handles pieces must be printed with support to accommodate the cut out for the blade tang.    

I designed this model using Solidworks and referencing images from Star Trek.

If anyone uses this for a cosplay, be sure to send me a picture, I'd love to see it!  It would be my greatest honor… second to dying a glorious death in battle of course.

Print Settings

The blade in this example is printed with Mika Silk silver PLA (55C build plate, 200C extruder, 100% infill) and the handle pieces are printed with Sunlu black ABS (90C Build Plate, 240C Extruder, 35% infill)
