Just found another file with an error – 016_100. The message from Bambu slicer is attached. (edited)

Part 032_60 is damaged in some way. Depending on which slicer I add it to, I get various messages. I opened it in Fusion360 and inspected the bottom, which I believe is supposed to be open? Have a look at the screen shot from Fusion.

I also noticed that 038_100 is damaged, but I'm not using the printed rosettes so I suppose it doesn't matter – just reporting. (edited)

@VDTaylor_1131677 Hi Vaughn
Thanks for the heads up on those parts. I have just been through all the parts and replaced any that showed up with a slicer problem. Not sure when you downloaded the parts but there has also been an earlier update to parts 001 and 002. A problem was highlighted that the updated CPU board would not fit inside the main housing. Hopefully you downloaded the parts after this was rectified but you may want to check your main board fits.
Colin

@ColinHenderso_452298 I downloaded on 8/10 so I must have missed some of the updates. I've updated all of my files. Thanks!

Do you have any recommendations for print settings? I'm wondering about infill on these parts specifically, but if you have any other tips it would be great to know before I get started. I ordered your kit and it looks like it's in a mail, so I want to get started.

Thanks! (edited)

@ColinHenderso_452298 I just received my kit via UPS today. I'm wondering a few things... 1. I like your color scheme, but is there any way to identify which parts in the STL files should be printed in orange? 2. Do I also need to purchase the PZT controller for this to work? I assume I'll need something to control this with because a controller doesn't seem to be part of the system? It's $100+ USD so I don't want to spend money where I don't need to. Sorry for all the questions, I'm just trying to make sense of what I need to do next while I wait for the printing to finish. Thanks! (edited)

Hi Vaughn
Yes you will need to build one WIFI controller which can then be used to control all parts of the Digital Bird system Slider PTZ heads, Turntable, Jib and Dolly.
You have a choice here depending on your requirements going forward. If you only want to use the system for programed moves and not live action or PTZ moves than you can get away with building the smaller compact controller. If on the other hand you feel you do want to use the system for live action moves then the PTZplus controller is the way to go. If you plan on building the up comming DB3 VISCA PTZ head then the PTZplus controller is a must have.
The part numbers I printed as orange are as follows:
004_25, 005_30, 006_30, 016_100, 017_100, 026_60, 030_100, 042_40, 041_40, 044_100, 045_100, 046_100, 047_100
