Simple DIY BLDC Motor

One day, I just figured I wanted to make the simplest motor I could think of. And while sure… the number of electromagnets and permanent magnets in this motor is fairly high, the whole design really is dead simple… 

I have also made a (not so instructional) video for YouTube about this motor design… check it out, you might like it! Or not, I'm not here to tell you what to do…

The motor has 3 3d-printed parts in it, with 2 of the parts having 2 variations depending on your preference/parts available. Speaking of parts, this project requires a fair number of non-3d printed parts, as is expected for a working electric motor. The part list, more information and the assembly instructions for the motor can be found in the “Birdbrain Simple Motor Assembly Manual.zip” archive. Download it, extract it and open “Manual.html” and the manual should open in your default browser!
