Originally designed by Frank Lloyd Wright for the Ennis house built in Los Angeles, 1924. This house was one of a handful of “textile block” projects created by Wright, a system of interlocking concrete blocks with bold patterns that added character. The house has been seen in multiple films including Blade Runner, and this tile design has also been used in other sci-fi productions over the years.

Tips:

  • One file has keyhole slots for hanging, one does not.
  • Default size is 200x200mm but scale as you choose.
  • The Z-axis can be independently scaled to get more or less relief.
  • To save filament, you can turn off bottom layers and just leave the infill exposed on the back.
  • A brim may be needed to prevent curling at the edges.
