Child Resistant Knob

This knob increases the difficulty for a cabinet or drawer to be opened and requires grip to be applied directly at the base.  The conical design discourages pulling the knob as you normally would in the hopes of discouraging little hands from accessing whatever is contained behind it.

Model can be scaled in the Z direction to increase the grip zone height, I found the 4mm included to work well with my hands.  Hole is sized for a #8-32 screw, however it can be drilled as needed by increasing wall layers.  I will post custom sizes if requested.

Although this should discourage children from accessing cabinets/drawers, do not rely on this as a sole means of securing hazardous or harmful items or valuables.  I do not have children to test this on, but think of my nieces and nephews constantly and how they could be protected quickly.  I envision this being ideal for the following applications:

• Clothing drawers
• Non-sharps kitchen drawers (spatulas, spoons, etc)
• Media cabinets
• Display cabinets
• Bi-fold closet doors
• Craft cabinets

• 0.1mm layer height
• Gyroid infill, 5%
• 3 layers on walls, for reaming the #8-32 hole to 9/64"
